Woke up to my dog Max mouning this morning. He couldn't stand on his legs. I picked him up and he callapsed in my arms. Limp and barely rsponding to me. I rushed him back to the vets office. Please say a "max" prayer this morning.

Last January my Scottie, George, was dripping blood. We kept taking him to the vet for tests...blood work, exams, x rays, untrasounds, finally an ultrasound biopsy that was over $600 That showed he had malignant prostate cancer. That very day we had him put to sleep. It was very difficult. He was 12 But the way I got thru it was remembering that he was loved for 12 years. He was well taken care of for 12 years. He was happy and never allowed to suffer for 12 years. I woudl have hung onto him forever if possible, but it was time for me to let go.
We still have three schnauzers. And all of us miss George.
If you learn it is time to let go of Max, I pray you find the strength to get thru it.

Oh John my heart hurts for you. I know how much your babies mean to you. Sometimes when its that end time, even humans ralley for a bit. You think they are better then it goes sour.
I know you will make the best decisions. I took my Maggymae yellow dog to the vet five times and just could not to it. I decided she had to tell me. It was the whining and hurt that she told me. I loved that girl for fourteen years, ugh, still brings tears. I cannot even remember going to the vet with her at the last time. Just hurt too much.
I hope if you have to help him with his passing you do not go alone. Be kind to yourself. I have three little dogs and I just love how we can hold them so close and they are like kling ons to us.All he knows is love John.
thank you for being one of the few who truly bring animals home to be part of the family.
hugs,debilyn
