I left out the BEST part of the call from rehab this morning! Whoopsie

I do hear you and so understand the frustration and anger.

I have received numerous requests along the same line from rehab and felt as you have.

Glad you are here.  Please connect with the local face to face meetings in your community and plan to attend.  Breaking the isolation and feeling the support are oh so important.

I posted the statement below earlier HOWEVER, I FAILED TO MENTION, the end of the call (which is one for my "highlight" reel....) HE SAID HE NEEDED ME TO MAIL HIM HAIR GEL!!!!!!!!!! REALLY? You have got to be kidding me... HOW ABOUT MAILING ME MY HEART BACK that you broke!!!!!!!!   Wow!   WOW! WOW!

Well...Well..Well....

My Jerry McGuire manifesto was received by my love (client #202) @ his current alcohol free living zone. Based on his 10 minute scheduled call this morning, I don't believe my 143 pages recounting the past year watching him channel "OTIS" from the Andy Griffith Show was a big hit. With the same emotional tone one would say "$10.00 on pump 3 please." He said "he cared about me and our future."  I suppose when I didn't scream with joy like the showcase showdown winner- thanking him for the reinforcement and enlightenment, he was irritated.

Now, how to free me of my irritation. There in lies the real problem.

In al anon, we know what each other is feeling without having to hear finished sentences or organized thoughts, etc. We know the pain of your broken heart...I am so sorry. It was so hard for me to see why I brought individuals into my life to break my heart. I can now see that my heart needed breaking to soften and to learn that I could be soft and tough at the same time. Finding the effective balance is not easy and still continues to be oh so challenging...I am learning and re-learning and the dance goes on Betty is wise in her gentle suggestion to get to face to face meeetings...let others love you.
