Have a Little Faith

I would like to thank those of you who have taken the time to respond to my postings. If it weren't for that I would have lost all faith in me, for this entire scenario with my love in rehab has been embarrassing, isolating, maddening, and very very scary. Your words give me hope to keep on going forward each day. At this juncture in my life this board is my only "family." For that I am most grateful.

Aloha Newwoman...while he is there...do everything you can to rebuild yourself.  That is most important.  He may make it...he may not make it.  That you make it is most important.  Your higher power, yourself and your recovery family want you to make it, and you might not either.  That's a big fact for us.  If nothing changes....nothing changes.  ((((hugs)))) smile

Thank you Jerry F.... I agree with you... seems I am stuck in the starting gate at the moment. I am trying but it seems to be a very slow process for me to begin!

Keep coming back newwoman  Share you heart as honestly as you have been doing.  Check out some face to face meetings in your community and try to attend.

We have all experienced the anger, resentment self pity and fear that you express so well!!  Alanon has the tools to help us to let them go and replace them with courage, serenity and wisdom

There is hope and help  You are not alone

Keep reaching for higher ground...early in my recovery my sponsor told me about the 3 A's...acknowledge your feelings, accept your feelings, and take appropriate action. Stay involved in recovery conversations such as you will find on this site, in face to face meetings and in al anon literature. Let your significant other do what he does and you keep your recovery FIRST. In time, you may find that you are grateful for this experience, as you can transform yourself into someone you really love hugs to you
