Tough to figure

With my son, when he was trying to get sober and seeing doctors, he was put on Librium. He was still drunk in my eyes. I would question him and he swore he wasn't drinking. He was right..... when I found out he was taking it and learned about the drug, I understood. The drug is just as bad as the alcohol in my eyes but I understood. It didn't work for him either. He would also sober up around 5pm in the afternoon but seemed to be drunk again by morning.
All I knew at the time is he was drinking all night. I just wish he would have told me what he was taking but he didn't at first.

When he was coming off the drug he became anxious, upset and would fight with anyone.  It took a while but he realized drugs were not the answer, just a replacement for the alcohol.

My wife is an A. She is going to a psycholgist now and I thought she would be getting better. However things have changed. At first she was definitely sober. Maybe the first month. Now although she appears sober, something is clearly up. It's like instead of drinking a ton she now measures and knows just th exact amount to have where she isn't completely bombed but enough that she can be buzzed. Is this possible ? Ironically it's always Thursdays the day she sees her dr. I am starting to think also if she even sees someone now but am afraid to ask. Has anyone had a similar experience. Crazy as it may sound, it almost feels like she sobers up before bed around 930. It's crazy. I just can't figure it because if I confront her she s pissed and swears she is sober. She even tells me to search the whole house. I won't find any alcohol anywhere. Also how do some of you detach yourselves from the A when all they want to do is argue ? Last night refused to argue in front of our 2 yr old. I could tell it pissed her off more but she relented some, however she really pushed my buttons soon as he went to bed and I couldn't hold back yelling back. Finally I as sorry for yelling and went to bed. Amazing her argument tonight was I do too much around the house and it makes her feel bad. Insanity !!!!!!!' Anyway thanks for letting me vent.
