It never seems to get easier for me to say Goodbye to someone who passes away. I went to a funeral today complete w/ giving of the US flag & Taps which I cried from. There were so many emotional moments because this man was truly loved and very committed to our community. They even named a building after him many years ago. His service to many community activities & his service in the Navy made me realize how important volunteering & serving our close-knit community is to me. I have so much respect to veterans--I was a Navy wife for over 3 years. I can really appreciate what men & women do for my country--the good ole USA.
So, my pride is in the right place today. I am honored & appreciate the fact that I am able-bodied enough to serve in any capacity I am able which includes posting & sharing from my heart on this site we call MIP--miracles in progress.
I agree, saying goodbye to loved ones never gets easier. With the support of alanon, and MIP I do have the loving support of my HP and friends who truly care. I know that they will walk beside me as I grieve and listen when I cry. What a true gift that is.
