I invited my a/a daughter for Christmas dinner, my a/a son was here from out of town, he isn't using at this time, use to be addicted to crack. He and my male friend had gone to her apt. on Mon. and she said she was coming.
We cooked a lot of food, on Christmas my son called her and she had changed her mind, saying her boyfriend was sick and she was going to stay home and take care of him, when I spoke to her she said I was cooking for my son and my boyfriend. I reminded her I had invited her several days prior.
I decided to invite an alanon friend and her grandson, who was having dinner along, they were able to come and we had a wonderful dinner and a really fun time.
I'm so grateful that I was able to "let go and let God" handle that, and even today, I'm refusing to let my mind go there. I really had a wonderful Christmas, one of my grandsons came and his 2 young children came by and opened thier gifts from us.
Thank you all so much for being here, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Yes you're getting it and good. How generous and compassionate that you would invite another member of the family groups for dinner also. That is soooo cool!! (((hugs)))
