Ok so over the last week or so I have had a rough time. The wife would stay up late, go into our spare bedroom and almost felt like she was avoiding me. I of course imagine the worst. I didn't go in there searching but I was just sure she had alcohol in there and was just staying away so she could drink. Now I realize who was the addict in this story... Me. She had been asking for a new microwave for a few years now and so I got one for Xmas. Yesterday I pick it up and bring it home to install. We says I have to open my present. It was an iPad. She got a Christmas bonus at work and bought two of them, one for herself. She has been in the spare room all this time playing with hers and couldn't let me see as it would give away my present. While I love the gift, what I really received from God in my opinion is the message, look at how you were a wreck this past week. She may have an alcohol problem, which is hers to deal with but I have a problem that I need to deal with.

Boy do I relate! I did the exact same thing with my hubby, although it was in the past... I almost found out about a surprise birthday party last July. The party was still a surprise, but I spent the evening sulking over how bad I had been treating him in my head. It took me a while to stop kicking my own butt, but I managed. I take things more at face value after that & do my best not to project. Be nice to you... & forgive yourself first... that is what I learned to do to be nicer to me when I make mistakes. I really do relate. Great self awarness... Have an awesome Holiday Hdftby!

I too can relate because I have been right so many times its hard to just let it go of those feelings and thoughts. Practice and learn is the only way to overcome this thinking good or bad.

Have a Merry Christmas and enjoy that great gift.

God bless....

I enjoyed this post. I think it's important to lighten up and find the humour where we can. Enjoy your gift.
