Need a gratitude thread

Starting my own.

1. Thankful I will not be going through the holidays wondering about A friend - better to be totally out of his life and the lifting of that burden is great.

2. Thankful that the doctors feel they got all my mom's breast cancer out, none of the lymph nodes had any cancer in them, a few long weeks of radiation and she should be top notch and at her feistiest again.

3. Thankful to have seen progress in my son when I visited although disappointed to find that there is a slight struggle with alcohol going on with the aunt.  I set a boundary that's all I can do.

4. Thankful that I can bring my son to visit a small Catholic boys home on Dec 2 to hopefully encourage him to go there, he needs more help than any one simple human can offer - he needs a team who can weather him through and to be around other kids like himself feeling the same way he does so he can stop beating himself up (holding back his progress).

5. Thankful that I have a strong spirit and am not buckling under the stress and also thankful that I'm not pretending the stress is not there.  Lots of prayers and quiet times for me right now.

6. Thankful I have a good job with good benefits

7. Thankful for MIP, Al Anon, my friends and family who are all supports for me.

That's probably a good start for now. Tag on if you wish, I enjoy gratitude threads a great deal.

I'm thankful I am alive and discovering who I really am, after a lifetime of not really knowing.

I'm thankful I have family, friends & pets that I love and love me.

I'm thankful I discovered Al-Anon, ACA and now have some faith in a HP.

I'm thankful that I have everything I need and many don't.

I am Thankful that I am Thankfulaww

For so many years I could not feel Thankful nor even say the word .  I was mired in anger, resentment, self pity and fear.

Today when I awake and walk thru my day I am constantly uttering small thankful prayers as I look at all beauty of the world and all that I have and been spared.

I am a Thankful member of Alanon and MIP

I am thankful THAT I am thankful. I am so happy to still be able to see the good things I have in my life. I have 4 really fun jobs that bring dimensions to my life that i don't want to live without.

I am happy to be able to recognize that I have such good things in life. I have friends. I have peace. I have family. I am happy.

Perfect timing, now that Thanksgiving's coming up.

I am thankful to be in, at least, good health, according to the last time I went in for a check-up. So thankful. Also, I'm thankful to still be able to be a student. I am thankful to have been employed. I'm thankful to be alive, basically.

God bless.

Regards,

I am thankful for my children's health, for school, for work, for my health, for my friends, for a roof over my head, a car, packed, refridgerator and so much more. I know I am truly blessed and am so thankful for it all! Great thread. Sending everyone love and support this Thanksgiving season!
