Just letting you all know that I am still lurking around out here. I don't post often, but I read a lot of your posts for ESH and lessons that I can use in my life. Things are still going very well for me.  I still attend and will probably, ALWAYS attend Alanon in my town. My local group is part of my family now and I try to attend every week. This program has drastically improved my life in SO many areas. 

My AH is going on 3 years of sobriety. He has told me of a few slips and I have to remind myself, "Progress, not perfection." I try to mind my own business and let him worry about his own issues. The coping skills have helped me immensely and I use the slogans, every day, in all aspects of my life.  I have grown a lot with this program and I like to think that it shows. I am much happier now and I think, more caring, and compassionate towards others. I try to be more giving, where before, ALL of my time was consumed by my AH and his alcoholism. My isolation days are over. I attend church at least 1 x a week and thoroughly enjoy going to my wonderful Church and my amazing Pastor.  I have "therapy" with a couple of very close friends weekly. I spend more time with my kids and my grandchildren. Before Alanon, I was totally obsessed with my AH and it consumed ALL of my time and thoughts. This program is for ME and I cherish it. And.... it works if you work it.

I think of you all often and pray that every single one of us can have peace in our life..... one day at a time.
