So, off I go w/ thinking positively. I am not going to let circumstance & other things control or ruin my day! I am so proud of my husband for admitting he was wrong yesterday--no need for details. Now I have to follow this w/ trying to be more apologetic towards him on most occasions. He deserves to be treated as well as I would like to be treated. I am so glad that he is sober. He is becoming much more of a giver than he used to be. Just the other day he said that he used to be selfish & not care as much about helping others--me too in the thrawls(?) of this disease! I was so self-centered & selfish until & before someone told me that the way to help yourself & make things better is by helping others. And, you know what? It works! I am living proof that recovery happens when you stop looking at yourself & your circumstance & start looking at others. I am not sure how to do it all the time but I think God helps me w/ this. I have a chance to get healthier, too. I have been on the wrong path so many times but I think each episode makes me stronger & always teaches me a valuable lesson.

So, I continue to look at this as a positive day; no matter what happens! And, if it starts to suck, I can start my day over. I hope that I can still be an inspiration to others. Be good to someone today--it definitely won't hurt!

LOVE you all! Thanks for my recovery!

Kathleen

Awesome post :) I try so hard each day to keep positive, the negative attitudes I carried for so long got me nowhere fast. Not that my life is perfect by any means (LOL in fact) but that I'm learning, growing and there are always positives to find.

Love your post!
