I'd like to ask you to keep my mom and family in your thoughts and prayers.  I got a call from my brother that my mother appears to have had a stroke this morning. He's with her and they are waiting for an ambulance while in the area of the storm.  He's prepared to make necessary decisions.  He assured me it had only happened this morning and I assured him that it wasn't his fault and that he'd done a good job taking care of our mother as I heard his frustrated tears. I'm glad God has been gentle as not to plague my brother with the guilt of "if only."  More waiting for me.  Due to the storm, I won't be able to fly out yet.  I got to talk with my mother mid afternoon on Monday and she was safe, had everything she needed.  I told my brother this when he called me today with the news about my mother.  I told him that I had told our mother he was safe too and that she felt relieved.  I just feel numb.  TT

oh honey I am so sad for you and yours. Such a darn hard thing. You are such a sweetheart! I hope you get to fly out to her.

I dragged the recliner next to mines bed and barely budged from it. Such a precious time. Will talk to our Father for sure my dear friend!

Thanks ((((everyone)))) for all the loving support you've offered to me and my family at this time.  I got a call from my brother last night that my mother passed away peacefully.  I went to my homegroup for a meeting.  That was where I belonged.  There were just three of us, it was enough.  It was a step 11 meeting.  I was grateful. I have a lot ahead of me but I'm just going to continue to keep my higher power close and take it a day at a time.  Hugs. TT
