Just a quick update. The AH is 23 days sober today. This might be an actual record. He has not done the 90 meetings in 90 days thing as he previously so boldy announced, but he IS attending 4 times per week. And that is a HUGE improvement over the "I hate AA, I don't believe in God, they are a bunch of losers" BS that he was spewing just a few short months ago.
Thank you to all who have read, replied and kept me in your thoughts, just as I have with all of you. It is a wonderful thing to know that these boards are here filled with people ready to help at any time, day or night.
Awesome stuff.... I always believe that once they get in the doors, they have a much improved chance of succeeding..... 90 in 90 is optimum, but 4 per week is nothing to sneeze at!!!
Glad to hear your update about him - but enough about him....
How are YOU doing?
Take care
Tom

That is great news. And to piggy-back on canadianguy, it is always good to see the A get the help they need, but coming to believe that this occurs when they see us getting the outside help we need and the A is feeling "left behind" so to speak. It's almost like kids in elementary school, no one wants to be the kid left out of the game. When the game is being sober and enjoying life for themselves, the A wants to be included in that environment. Keep us posted and keep coming back for you.
Thanks to you both. It is still somewhat of a foreign concept to think of myself! But I am also doing great. I am reading my dailies now more than ever before and having more spiritual contact with my HP. My work is going great and my other relationships outside of my marriage (friends, family, etc.) seem to be getting stronger. What a miracle how things really do change when we start to believe in this process and in ourselves.
