This Past Weekend, I had some Good & Some Bad, Lots of Happy, & A Little Sad! And I Can Honestly Say, it was the Most Balanced Weekend I have had in a while, when it came to Mind, Body & Spirit!
I have Handed My Expectation back to HP, and I have Left My Assumptions at His Feet as well! And So Far So Good it is Working Well... I got out with some Great Friends & Family over the weekend, and managed to squeeze in some time on the River in my Kayak with my Family & Did Some Hiking with my Son, Had a Birthday Dinner Out for My Husband, And Joined a Support Breast Cancer Walk & Walked for a cause!
I don't think I Could feel Any better about how things went! I Got to a Meeting last night, and it was a Full table for our neck of the woods! It was nice, we did this thing where each person calls on the next one and those that are uncomfortable can of course pass, but they then just pick someone else! There was ALOT of Good Stuff Floating around that table, and when I left, I Felt Lifted & renewed...
I Learned Something about myself this weekend, that I believe I have known but at the same time, managed to bury for quite sometime! I Learned that even when I Feel the "Need" for Company, sometimes Nature is that Company! Nature for Me Fills the Void that at times surfaces in me! This Weekend I Saw (2) Amazing Bald Eagles! One I Swear had to be 6-7foot wing span, He Soared over head of the Event I went too, Even with a Crawd Of People Everywhere & a Dj! It was Amazing, And at that Moment! I Knew! That what was Meant to be would be! And what was Not, Was not my Worry! The 2nd one was a Yearling.. Still had spots on his belly, but beautiful, and maybe only 3-4foot wing span, But Just as I Dropped My bottom into my Kayak! He Flew from the Tree above my Head... :) So I Knew the trip before me was going to be Just what I needed to Revive, & Renew! Amazing how HP shows up, when I Least Expect him ;)
This Disease at times feels like it has the strangle hold on me, and when I Remember, that "I" am allowed to be happy with out being pressured, & I am Allowed to be Guilt Free in My Choices to take care of me! It is Truly a Miricle the things that can happen... and then there are moments were i wonder where My Life might have been had I "Not" been subjected to this disease, Or the Recovery from it! I'm Grateful for my Steps, My Journey, & Honestly My Past! For all those things brought me all of you! And All Of You! Brought me ALL Of ME! I as So Grateful I "Chose" To let it Work For Me! The Tools, The Steps, the Books, the Fellowship, the Friendship, the Family Bound, all amazing things happening right here, on this board and in our lives! All we have to do is Show up everyday Ready to put One foot in Front of the other, and Lift when the Need Calls for it, and Listen when it dont...HP Is Great... But are you Listening?
I was told when i First entered the Rooms of Al-Anon F2F... "If You Keep Coming Back!!! Your Miricle Will Happen!" I'm Grateful I "Keep Coming Back!"
I too can feel the power of my God in Nature and am inspired. Seeing the Eagles sounded like a special gift and in your wisdom you saw it and appreciated the present.
I watch an" Bald Eagle " Family on camera each Spring. The camera is focused on the nest and we are able to view the entire cycle of the nest. How wonderful it is to see the parents so gently care for the eggs and then the babies. Each Parent taking turns feeding and guarding the babies. I often think we humans could take lessons from nature.
Yes I have Always Loved the Bald Eagle, they Give me such a Calming effect, and such a peace when i see them soar above the water... And Isn't it funny that "I Too" watch a Bald Eagle Family in the Spring...lol... My Girlfriend Just Hooked me up with the Sight about a week ago! Her & I have been watching them I guess Goin on 3years now... And you are right... We Could Def learn a thing or two from their parenting... :) God Gifts All Around...
