A tear away from crying!

In church yesterday, I realized that I enjoy the experience al-anon speak about being happy and enjoying life whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.  It must have been something the minister was saying, but I thought of my a/a daughter and realized I'm always just a tear from crying, the pain never go away even though I'm moving on with my life and enjoying a good life.

Living life on life's terms is a terrific gift to carry forward. So glad you are here :)

Hi Highlyfavored

I agree  The sadness goes deeper and I am able to smile and laugh but a tear is not far away when I am brought back into the loss caused by addiction.

At that time i must cling tighter to HP

In my prayers

Thank you Highlyfavored Sometimes tears are a good thing. It does not make you weak to cry. It just means you've been strong for to long. So cry. It might be the healthiest thing you can do.
