level.
Just a quick update and check-in to say hi! I will have more time later this week to dig into the board and read what I missed the past few months. Can't wait! Missed the Al Anon wisdom and peace.
I got back from basic training. It was tough. At 34, my body needed a bit more recovery time than was offered and I'm still limping around but have a orthopedic appointment this week to get checked out. Hopefully just some strained ligaments that a little rest will heal.
I did great in training though. I was the top scoring female for PT (2 mile run, situps, pushups) which was awesome since I was competing against 17 and 18 year olds. Living with 40 teenage girls wasn't too bad, but oh lordy, they talk and chatter NONSTOP! But now I have gobs of little brothers and sisters on Facebook. :)
I'm sorry I didn't write any of you like I planned. I was swamped and just didn't have the time. I was going nonstop from 4am-10pm. The letters I did recieve were read at lightning speed in a bathroom stall after lights out and if I had time, I scribbled a few lines in response. Zero time for reflecting or writing!
But now I am home and can relax! I am eating way too much sugar (yay!) and sleeping way too much. It's great!
Looking forward to refreshing my Al Anon state of mind and getting tapped into that serenity once again! Hope you all are well...I will read the backlog and get up to date soon!
