Talking

He just don't talk to me about anything. Its really like 2 room mates. He quit drinking

and he has been working OT to get through it. Then he goes to bed some times I

Feel its just like when he was drinking. He always drank at home and he smokes,

so he was out side in the summer and in the garage in the winter. But still had to have

that drink and smoke. Just thought it would change a little and he would open up.

Is this part of the withdraw he quit on 7/23/12 after 30 beers a day and going to work

every day. Now its like Work and Bed.

Whenever my AH tries to quit he goes to bed earlier. It's easier to avoid temptation if he's sleeping.

It hurts your feelings, I think is what I'm picking up. Is there a meeting that you can go to? There are some great readings in One Day at a Time and Courage to Change on the topic of when the A stops drinking.

Sending hugs and support on your journey!

Even if he was in a recovery program it would mean a lot less communication while he works on his program....and I know you have told me he is real reluctant to go to AA. It does suck but this is a pretty common relationship problem for spouses whose partners are in early sobriety (even those in AA). I would try to write out like a 5 things or so that you have been wanting to do on your own but had a hard time committing to when he was drinking (or just 5 things you want to do on you own period)....then go for it.
