A Pushka Story - OT (well sort of .. LOL)

Pushka, my one cat Patches decided the dryer was a cozy place to sleep. I felt a thud, thud, thud while standing near the dryer while folding and thought darn the kids threw their shoe in the laundry basket by accident. Needless to say it was our poor cat. She was okay but she still loves the rest on the warm clothing when I take a few out and come back for the rest! LOL. I have to double triple check now.

Sooooo .. my old kitty passed away which leaves me with one old lady and a youngester that is going to be the death of me I swear.  She is a nutcase.  Well, it can be said she officially belongs in this house .. lol.

I started to kind of panic because I haven't been able to find the old lady all day.  I noticed late in the afternoon and I'm officially the worlds worse pet owner EVER .. probably around 2 or so that she was missing.  I called for her didn't think much about it .. about 3 .. I'm starting to kind of go .. hmmm .. this can't be a good thing.  Around 4 I'm really starting to panic .. where can she be??  I know she didn't go out, she wouldn't know what to do with herself if she did get out.  I'm stressing thinking .. did I leave a door open.

It's not like I'm living in some mansion or anything .. LOL.  Room to room to room .. KATIE .. where are you girl.  I notice our youngest one has been hanging out in the kitchen all day I have one of those closets that has the washer and dryer in there, .. full size.  I open it and call for her.  The kitten is now following me everywhere and meowing .. so I'm kind of like ok, we are looking for your older sister .. I don't know where she is.  I hear something and I think .. WTH .. I open the closet to the washer/dryer .. nothing .. open the pantry .. nothing .. I hear it again .. I open the washer/dryer closet again, and this time I hear scratching and I still can't figure out where is this coming from .. OMGOSH .. that animal is going to give me more gray than I already have and it cost enough to color thank you!!!  She apparently has recently decided she likes getting in the dryer.  UGH!!  The kitten will do this and I about have almost closed the door on her and started the dryer!!!! I hadn't noticed that Katie had gotten in or even liked to do this new trick .. the only reason I even opened the dryer is because I heard scratching!!!!  THERE SHE WAS!!!!  Crazy animal!!!!

Needless to say we are watching each other and all I can think is hmmm .. I don't know if it's safe to go to sleep tonight she's plotting something!!!!!  I will be sleeping with one eye open and closing my bedroom door .. I can deal with whatever happens in the livingroom .. I really don't want to deal with her in my room though .. LOL!!!

I am officially the mowing queen of the neighborhood.  I got distracted while looking for Katie and ran out and mowed about 2.5 acers and decided to call it a day after I got done with that I will be weed whacking again .. at least the large part is done and this is all detail stuff now.

Good grief though .. I swear it's like just stay out of the dryer .. PLEASE!!  This is not a conversation I thought to have with that girl!!

Hugs P :)

Dear dear Pushka

Thank you for the very well written, funny story . I do believe you should write a  daily women's column as it  It would be so entertaining and help to lighten our moods.

Thanks for being here.

I'm glad you found her safe & sound. I lost my beloved ferret one day --  one that my son gave me to replace another that got out the door weeks earlier. Looked for hours and like you, heard scratching sounds that I followed and found her inside a wall. There was a small hole way in the back of the closet about 3ft above the floor - she crawled in that hole, fell down into the wall between the framing and couldn't get out.

I've got a lawn that needs mowing, hint, hint

That is really cute! Think about it... a clothes dryer is everything a cat could want.  It offers privacy, no bright lights, it's warm and it's comfy for sleeping. What's not to like?  You're going to have to keep closer eye on her I guess lol  Thanks for sharing!  TT

I can't even smile thinking about that Push...my imagination won't let me.  I still "What if" under many conditions that are possibly disasterous.  Gotta go wash my imagination out!!  Our duck, Pinch (still a little person...but not for long) has found that cuddling up to the water heater igniter area is really cozy drove me to block out ALL access she found to the heater.  Can't believe how small the accesses are that she is willing to try.  Three days ago she was being buggered by the dogs however the three days have included growth like I just couldn't imagine and this evening she kept the dogs on the porch...LOL  she ever gave both of them earlier a couple beak bangs on the booties.   We got here and her sibiling because the mother abandoned them and no one else wanted the chore (it is a CHORE).  We lost her sibling, "Roodie" after a week or so...bwaaaah.... but pinch survives and then some.  She is no longer a pinch of a duck...she is a DUCK...looks like one, walks like one, quacks like one...doesn't drink alcohol LOL.  There took my mind off of a cat in the clothes dryer.   Thank You.   (((((hugs))))) smile

Ohhh Jerry .. LOL .. you have no idea the number of horror stories that went through my mind as I started looking for her and then actually found her. Thankfully the clothes were done, thankfully I found her when I did, .. thankfully .. thankfully .. thankfully.

LOL .. I wondered how the little ducks were doing and I'm sorry about the loss of one that is a bummer.

As I have just sat here and typed this the little one I'm a diet coke person and have a case of it from a big club warehouse .. apparently even aluminum cans are not made the way they should be .. she punctured a hole in the side of one!? WTHeck is up with that!? UGH UGH UGH .. seriously?! Sooo I better get off here and go and move the diet coke so she can't puncture another one!

Hugs P :)

PS - IKR .. on the it's a duck and you know it's just a duck :)
