Practising my detachment. Sitting here.

I'm sitting here practising my detachment, keeping my boundaries. Step 1.

My partner who is the A in my life came home, she popped upstairs.  After we put dinner on she was upstairs again.

At dinner time she was obviously UI.

I hate these times. It seems like every day I am living this perpetual nightmare and I'm becoming numbed to the world to this emotional pain - as I have to detach like this otherwise I get engulfed into this world. Seeing your partner basically kill themselves every day.

No wonder I feel flat and dejected most of the time. :(

I understand how you feel. Trust me. That is why we need each other. We need to lean on one another for support, friendship, experiene, guidance. We need to work on ourselves to get where we need to be. You are not alone. Many hugs to you.

Detachment is so difficult and for me, it takes lots of practice and is still a work in progress....It is great you got on here while you were "detaching". My heart goes out to you.
