You know how we say we can choose how we react to something?
I was tortured by the past losses almost every day.
A very wise woman showed me some scriptures that said we are to be in the present and look ahead! Wow hmmm. So for awhile now if those creepy past things come into my head I stop it and say I am here now, in this place. This is my time of living in the mountains with my dogs, living in ultimate beauty every single day.
It's my time of a great congregation I love, who are the neatest down to earth people who are funny, loving and real.
It's a time of good friends up here, I have a good pickup I like, my dogs are healthy and have years on them. I love the people who are here NOW.
I was heading into that awful depression again. scared me. upped the med a tiny bit. It worked plus I worked at it too. I can even say now I am happy again. Things are not bugging me as we have made it this far.
So there you go, I am in my time of still able to live independantly (though my son made it clear he would build a place for me at his house (c:) living in paradise, with friends, loved ones and my critters. I am even behind on my rent and I feel fine. It will be ok!
hugs! debilyn

(((Deb))), you sound happy, that's great to hear. My mantra lately is ¨Be Here Now¨ - no reliving the past with woulda, coulda, shoulda, no predicting or worrying about the future. It doesn't always work, but it does more often than not. Pet those critters for me!
