So I see the drinking picking back up .. He had a surgery and has done much better with pain pills than I expected, House rules state hard liquor is NOT allowed. But he is using surgery as excuse, as he started using pre surgery stress to start bringing it back around or a 12 pk a night. He hasnt had the "A attitude" kick in yet. However its not my first rodeo so I expect it soon.
Debating on reminding him on house rules after work tomorrow.
BTW house rules are.. if you wana be drunk, rent a hotel room or do it away from me and our kid. If you wana be with family hard liquor isnt invloved. I use to try for not even beer but I finally realized I have NO CONTROL over him, but BOUNDARIES and HOUSE RULES have worked pretty well for awhile ... dont be mistaken, vacations can be hell because evedentily house rules dont apply there.. but house rules have made day to day life Mon-Thu much easier... weekends too if we arent out of town.
Ugh ... just hate this frekin rollercoaster of a disease

((sweetr))) Im sure you're going through a tough time right now. But in my humble opinion you need to stick to your boundaries-house rules. As has been said on here before-we teach others how to treat us. Stick with those boundaries-it may be hard, but worth it in the end. Wishing you the best, sending hugs and much support.
