Husband being thown out of treament center

I just need some ESH... My husband is being thrown out of the drug/alcohol treatment center today because he has been drinking. I sure hope he doesn't think he's coming here!

Amanda - Sorry to hear that. Though the way you had been portraying him in your posts - it did seem like he was not in the right frame of mind for recovery.

If people are really gonna benefit from rehab, it's when they know they screwed up. They are at their bottom and they know it's nobody else's fault but but their own.

I have heard people who now have long term sobriety tell me they went to as many as 17 rehabs before getting sober. I never went to rehab at all. Dunno.

I hope you can take good care of yourself and have a plan for when he wants to get back into the house if you've said No.  When they refuse recovery is when we need extra recovery!

Thanks... I think you're right pinkchip. He just isn't ready to be sober. He knows he can't come here. I'm not sure where he's gonna go because he's burned every bridge he could with his family... My plan is to call the police if he tries to come to my house and wont take no for an answer.

Hugs Amanda,

Sending love and support, it's just not an easy walk to walk in terms of dealing with an addict.

Hugs P :)
