an old timer in one of my meetings told me she is going to the world convention in Vancouver 5-7 July13.
I live in england and it would be very expensive for me to go but if i start saving just a bit now you never know. I love america and and some other members have said they are staying o for a bit of a holiday. Have any of you been to the convention in previous years, or have knowledge of ways maybe to cut cost e.g cheap hotels in the area.
I know this is giving m something to look forward to my ABF has been missing for over a weekand is on the streets. i want to move on and think this dream is helping me to do that
Actually, Vancouver is in Canada. :) But just a squeak north of Washington state.
There's also supposed to be some sort of a cruise after the convention (not that it's PART of the convention, but a bunch of Al-Anon members are working towards the cruise. I'd post more info on that, but I don't have it.)
need to get my map out ha ha . Yes one of the members said there was a cruise afterwards to Alaska, I just wondered if any members from this site will are thinking of attending the convention or had attended previuos world ones and could share their experiences. I know it is a while off but as I said i will have o save and plan to get there.
