The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
I'm new here today. Are there groups or certain forums for topics. I am the mom of a 26 yo male, and I just need to know I'm not alone and how to deal with everyday issues.
I'm familiar with AL-Anon, I used to attend meetings when my ex-husband/alcoholic was alive, now I'm going through it with my son.
Hello and welcome , dig out your old Al-Anon literature and get started again , I hope you find meetings for yourself again the support we receive is priceless . Louise
(((((Neesa))))) welcome to the board...What abbyal responded with is priceless. You may have left for a while and the program grew. The disease progresses. Welcome back into the program and stick around MIP. There are many relatives, friends, family and associates on this board. ((((hugs))))
Thank you all! I'm already feeling a bit optimistic and stronger. Luckily this time around I have an awesome husband who supports me more than I probably deserve at times, I can be very trying myself!!!!
Unfortunately I have been unable to find my books and notes and reminders from years ago......probably 15-20 years ago.....I may have passed it on to someone who needed it, somehow I think I remember doing that! Anyway.....I'm really thankful I've found this board and am thankful there are good folks like y'all who will share in an effort to help others. XO
You are not alone ! I am the mother of a 24 yr old addict. Seems like we have been through 8 years of pure hell. Thankfully I found Alanon almost 4 yrs ago now and while my son continues his addiction this program has savGlad yed my life and my sanity. If you would like to private message me please do. We also have meetings here online and there are many ala-parents. Glad you found us! Prayers for you and son~
