It is totally a God-thing that I experienced yesterday--the whole day was God showing me that he is there.
First of all, I got a call from a lady who is visiting our area. I told her to call me if she got a chance. I ended up spending time talking to her. We have a lot in common. She used to go to Al-anon back when she lived in NY. Anyhow, I was still surprised that she called. I didn't expect it really--we had had such a good conversation at the meeting Tuesday that I didn't want to stop!
Another blessing in disguise. Our car needed work on the shocks & struts yesterday so another thing happened in the meantime; our master cylinder went out. The blessing: at least we weren't on the road going out of town when it went out! So, to a meeting we went & all is well. We just have to go w/o a car for about 5 days waiting for a part. We can manage well too because we live in a very small town & most places are within walking distance! Another blessing!
I am just full of gratitude these days that it is almost sickening. I am even getting more serenity. At the meeting last night the topic was humility & a guy shared that we get serenity when we have humility. Humble yourselves & you will find out that that is true!
Thank God for the 12 step programs--they change lives everyday!
