Post if you agree w/ me that what goes around comes around. I had an experience w/ this just yesterday. Now to some folks finding money is not the biggest deal ever but I did yesterday. I believe that if I continue on the path I am on many blessings will come my way. I am already blessed beyond belief!
I have to say that giving is better than receiving too. I have been on both ends of this. I am so glad that I have the resources to give w/o expecting anything in return. Just last November I gave my friend a surprise 50th birthday & sure enough when my birthday comes soon, I will probably be celebrated too. I don't expect much but I am sure that I will be touched & moved!
I do believe that rewards/blessings come when we've given from the goodness of our hearts, expecting nothing in return. When one gives w/expectations - it isn't true giving. IMHO
This is a subject that is close to my heart. What goes around comes around must be a very ancient phrase. Jesus said, "What you reap you sow" and Buddhists call it "Cause and Effect". Everything in the Universe operates under this law.
Every action you take, what comes out of your mouth and what you think are all causes from the depths of your life. We are responsible for everything that happens in our life, good or bad...
Thats why Alanon focus on the self, everything flows from there. Its never about the other person.
Finding that extra money Hoot is a benefit that you deserved.
