Today was a good day, it does get better!

Hello All - second time I've typed this because my pc went away for a second, ha, but that's all it takes sometimes!

Today was a good day. I took my daughter and her friend to a saturday market on sunday; great great GREAT weather - man it was about perfect weather, did I say it was great? Lots of people, things to look at, spend money on, dogs, people with purple hair, ships along the waterfront, it was just one of those picture perfect days you can't order in any catalog.

After we were done we journeyed to the mall, where the car was parked, shopped, ate lunch, laughed and joked, shopped some more, then, all tired we headed towards home.

Stopped for ice cream at this little roadside place with the best cones and a reputation to match; stood in line for 20 minutes laughing and joking; (did you know it is really hard to say Irish Wrist Watch?).

Somewhere along the rest of the way home it was mentioned how SOMEONE (cough cough mr ex, cough cough) would always be able to ruin such a perfect day, throw tantrum, road rage, demand we go where he wanted, eat what he wanted, etc. (oh lordy would he have moaned about having to wait 20 minutes for ice cream!).

I think about that, how much of a fun sucker he was and the thought that sticks is how sad it must be to not be able to go have a day like today and just enjoy everything good the day gave us - I mean, I really FEEL for those who can't rejoice in a good day and have a good time.

After we got home I took Betsy the wonder dog out for some throw the ball time, stopped and chatted with neighbors until the mosquitos started landing. Now I'm sitting on my bed typing this and thinking how wonderful it is to NOT live in the chaos that, for a time, took over my life. How much I enjoy doing my own thing when I want and not having to defend myself, no fighting or strife.

It was a good day; it DOES get better.

(how many of you are trying to say Irish Wrist Watch? ha, its fun eh?)
