What does "Mamas and Papas" meeting mean??

There are two things .. either it's support for an addicted kiddo, or there is babysitting available. Probably the best thing to do is call the local hotline and ask.

I have never heard of meetings titled like that .. I'm sure someone around has!!

Duh, don't know why I didn't think to call :) I did, and it's for mothers & fathers of alcoholics.

Its always great when people can keep a sence of humor, difficult, but healing. Like when you see the old man drunk at the bottom of the stairs and you are thinking, Great, my birthday is ruined again, instead of wonder if he survived the fall to drink again. In my case, he bounces well, but not from lifes hits. It really would be nice to not be so mean, but you really get to hate after awhile. They never stop. Vomit for two days and dive back in, maybe a little brain damage from the fall? What excuse from before the fall? Give him a minute, he'll come up with one. He would be great at improv if he was funny in any way.

Thanks Betty, Is the link you provided fot teens, I referred to the old man, but he started out as a spouse, we are basically roommates at this point. He seems like an old man after watching this for 9 yrs now. Is that a parent reference? I need more help than I thought, haha I will stick around. I am working hard at looking after myself and detachment . It seems to have an effect to some degree, do they ever come out of denial?
