I keep reminding myself...why is he like that? Why would a grown man DO that? How does an adult THINK that way--honestly? 

Because he is an alcoholic! 

So he will twist everything around to be about him and what a victim HE is and act like a spoiled, selfish child despite the fact he is in his 30's. And he will keep making choices that hurt himself and other people instead of promoting his own well-being. Because he is an alcoholic...

So glad I can come here, rant and then take a deep breath and not react to him in person. THANK YOU AL-ANON....!

Hey Sookie .... remember ...most maturity stops when the addict starts using... I know my AH reasons like a 13 yr old boy!! helps me know why I become so frustrated and why he doesnt reason like an adult

 

Course this doesnt help when Im havin to listen to it sometimes either !! rant and rave on here anytime.. I know I do !!

And remember this too will pass

My wise old sponsor used to remind me to view my (then-active) AW with a large "SSS" stamped on her forehead, that stood for "sick, sick, sick"

I like the SSS stamp thing. I usually have to visualize the word 'insane' stamped on his forehead whenever he starts getting crazy and narcissistic.

I like that too Tom .. I know Ive started healing myself and my thinking becasue I use to make the comment. I wear bangs to cover the dumba$$ tattoo on my forehead... but I finally understood... the three C's !! and now I just wear bangs cuz i like em !!
