Crazy day

Dear Al-Anon community, What a day!! I spent the first day alone in our new house, when a very unsympathic man rushed into my neighbour's house and started a fight. I was so scared, I called the police. After doing that I was even more scared. He saw me, of course he knows I called them!! I called two Al-Anon numbers and told the story, they said what I did was ok and now it is about letting go. I was so scared, I thought I am stranded in the worst neighborhood ever, now in the black list of some pimp or international drug network or so. But soon I felt better and you know what - I had not been as ashamed of being scared nor of asking for help. Today's page in "courage to change" is about fear and living one day at a time. There was some higher power active, as it seems ;)

I do relate. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Way up in the mountains.

Yet there are meth addicts up here!! After gas stolen, my fence being messed with, I am paying on a gun.

Also my BEST move was, I got a guard dog. He is huge, Akbash and Great Pyr and he will bite if you come onto the property.Plus his companian is timber wolf and malamute.

I also have inside dogs. The other two are outside and have a cool shop to be in for shelter. They are free on the property and happy as can be.

So for me it was all about feeling safe.

Hey you don't know how many people called on that guy!! Good for you, but next time be more discreet!

We can choose not to be a victum and make sure we are safe!

hugs hon, debilyn. ps always keep a flashlight by your bed...I also have a hammer there too. doubt anyone could get past my six dogs inside...lol
