Hi MIP Family
 
Five years ago tonight, my son Stephen, who had over 12 years of sobriety,  died from this horrific disease. 
 
 Stephen relapsed  and for 2 years and was in and out of rehabs. I still miss him every moment of every day.
 
Please say a small prayer.

((((Hotrod))))...so I was going to the hardware store a couple of hourse ago (not looking for bread..you understand)  and I come around the corner passing the empty lot outside the arena and there is a yellow Camaro parked under a shade tree with the driver kicked back and dozing in the driver's seat.  Who knows maybe RIP means Resting in Paradise for now.  It wasn't gone when I returned to come home...still resting.  Stephen gets the thoughts and the prayers...hope this helps others to get and stay sober.  ((((Hugs)))) smile

(((Betty))), I am so sorry for the pain you must still be feeling. I can only imagine how difficult it must be. You are always in my prayers. Thank you for overcoming your own pain to be an inspiration to me and so many others.

Wow Betty... that certainly brings all things recovery into perspective, does it not??  I'm sure that 5 years seems like both a lifetime AND a blink of the eye....  My prayer is that Stephen is at peace right now, and that his death is not in vain....  Prayers also go out to his wonderful mother, who does so much for others all around her.

I have attached a picture of the race car he built and raced with such pride.

Whenever someone brings up a child who is A, I think of you. You are so couragious in your recovery from your HUGE loss.
