Clearing my head

Its been one week since I've separated from my AH and I am truly enjoying the drama free peace that I have. Feeling a little lonely but it's not unmanageable. Just taking my life one day at a time and focusing on what I can do to be calm, healthy and happy. I've even begun attending meetings and have already found a sponsor!!! I realized that the weekends would be harder on me so I planned ahead and am trying to be around people so they're not so bad. It's so nice to not have all this insanity going on around me and I can just focus on me and my girls.

The weekends where the kids are gone are a blessing and overwhelming, as far as learning to being alone. I know for me I use it as an opportunity to really get caught up on my weekly readings, stuff we are going to talk about at meeting and so on. Just like you I plan my weekends when the kids aren't here. As the time goes on it gets a LOT easier. It's been 3 months now, working on #4.

I can get into projects I've procrastinated on. I am looking into school so I can do a little dreaming. I enjoy the peace those weekends bring. Last weekend I literally rented 4 movies and that's what I did fri and sat night it was sooo nice to watch what I wanted to watch, not have to wonder, worry or think about what is going on.

This is what teaches me to keep the focus on me and the kids.

Hugs P :)

The 2 nights a week my girls are with their dad used to be hard on me, I watched "Eat, Pray, Love" over 100 times in those early days and read "Getting Them Sober" twice, all this time later I look forward to it! I watch movies read, spend time online and walk my dog for 5 miles both days. I keep busy and healthy. I love the down time and when I get lonesome I remember all the chaos and dysfunction and all of a sudden I rather be alone. I love that you are enjoying the peace, serenity and growth this program gives when you dig in! Sending you love and support on your journey!
