Yes, we have to emotionally detox sometimes. I do a lot of art and writing to process...but it's important to have fun too! Watching standup comedy is a fave of mine. Breathe and know that yes, this too shall pass...everything passes eventually...even last night's meatloaf.

Hi Silent
Good Work, it sounds as if you are obtaining real clarity on your situation. We all have found our part in the situation and once we did find that, we have some power to use our
Al Anon tools in order to recover.
Continue to focus on yourself, rest, post, pray, and trust the process,
You are not alone.

Hugs,

I've had weekends where I have sat on my hands literally not to call, text or email. This to shall pass. It gets better and easier as time goes on.

Hugs P :)

You do sound like you are getting more clarity in this post. You have much potential. Considering that you are not the one hooked on drugs and alcohol - You are free to grow and change in some awesome and spectacular ways. An active alcoholic and drug user doesn't really change and they often try and stop others from changing too. Change is scary but good. Keep it up!
