I have a headache today which means that I need more sleep. My clinician is working on another type of med. for me. Actually it was one I was taking before that got mixed up! I am not very good w/ less sleep--I need a solution! For those who don't know me--I have really bad insomnia. I have struggled w/ it for over 26 years. I know that some people say that you shouldn't take meds. for sleep but I am desperate--please don't judge me.
I am still grateful even though I am very tired--sick & tired too. I am not going to be OK until things straighten out some. I am not very good at waiting. I would never be good at being a waitress & serving rude people. How did I get on that tangent? That is typical for me. Some of my worst defects come out when I am tired. I get all you know, anxious & sometimes literally crazy!
I will not lose the little serenity I have. I have just enough to get me through each day!
Sleep is so important. Have you had a sleep study done yet? I never would have considered it - but I did and I had sleep apnea, had no idea. There are so many other sleep issues - but there is no shame in having to take medication for sleep. Lack of sleep is really very dangerous for us in so many ways.
I hope you resolve it soon. I deal with it occasionally so I know how badly it affects those with it. Hugs.
Without sleep you wont function properly. You need to find a way to sleep, and if that means taking meds, then so be it. Meds can be taken properly. I agree with the last post, have you tried a sleep study?? Find what works for you Kathleen, and run with it. You need your rest so that your body can be at it's most serene place. Keeping serenity is hard when you're so tired you're not sure you even know what Serenity is!!!!! Hope you find your solution and you can rest:) Rest Easy my friend!!!!
Sorry to hear that you are having this issue. I agree with what the others have said about you going in for a sleep study. I have had bouts with insomnia several months ago. I was not sleeping more than an hour at a time and it was really making my life unmanageable. As it turns out, I suffer from very bad anxiety, as well as, depression. My doctor prescribed Remeron (not sure if I spelled it correctly). I take my antidepressant around dinner time and I take the Remeron about an hour before bed. It works for me. I sleep very sound and wake up feeling rejuvenated. I would suggest speaking with your PCP and possibly get an evaluation for anxiety. I hope you get the help that you need soon.
