Hi Bernie 

I  emailed John last night and suggested that we begin a study of the Traditions after we finish with the Steps. 

This go around on the Steps will finish the end of April.

I attend a weekly meeting on the Traditons and would be glad to participate. It is  said that :

The Steps keep us from commiting Suicide and the Traditions keep us  from Homicide

Hope he approves

I see the step board discussions here. do you do the 12 Traditions as well. It would certainly be interesting to see something like that. just food for thought......

Does the 12 steps start over again later? I got lost digging to find step 1. Last time I did steps I got to 3 but want to start over as its been awhile.

just talked about tradition ten at a meeting tonight. I love tradition ten.. its the exact thing that did not scare me away from al-anon!!!

Well the reason I brought it up is so I can learn more. My home group [in the other fellowship] is a 12 and 12 group and we learned so much about ourselves by studying both the steps and traditions, that I just thought it would be great to learn them again using the perspective of Al-Anon [a fellowship of which I am also a member]. I know I don't always say the right thing and sometimes I say it the wrong way and hopefully the traditions will keep you all from killing me. LOL.

Also a quick note.....

We have a meeting every Thursday night in our room on our Traditions/Concepts and Steps....each meeting is 'the next' one....in order, and when one subject is completed, another ensues.

Thursday Night's Regular Chairperson is @Courage - and I believe we are on Traditions as a topic. Our meetings are as follows:

Al-Anon Family Group
Meeting/Chat Room

Meetings
9 AM EST Mon-Fri
9 PM EST Mon-Sat
10 AM EST Sat & Sun
7 PM EST Sunday

I am not able to attend on line meetings and would love to have the Traditions explored here on the Step Work Board.

Hi Bernie It appears that you are right  John has agreed with the Tradition Study

Here is an excerpt from his response: 

I think going through the Traditions from the Steps is a great idea! If you would, as I am very very busy this week, please send a private message to all the groups lead person, on the step work board letting them know that I have agreed to go to the Traditions after step 12.
