I'm looking at the Al ATeen Meetings in my area, there is a great one nearby and a night I can take my oldest without his younger brother (together at a meeting is a BAD idea, I'll find a separate meeting for middle son Mondays).
All kinds of notes. If it says "Al Anon meeting in another room" does that mean both meetings are being held at the same place? Do these have childcare or could I bring my 8 year old with me (he's got some stuff he can bring to entertain himself).
I used to go to meetings pre- kids so I don't remember the kid deal.
Hmm, probably depends on the location itself. I go to a Friday night meeting some weeks and they have AA and Al ATeen at the same location along with childcare. All meetings are in the same building but at my Thursday meetings there are separate buildings within walking distance. You may have to attend and see if they have childcare, does your area's location reveal if they offer childcare? Ours does not.
I called the number for headquarters that is at the bottom of my post and got a number to someone that attends the meetings nad was a contact and got all the information I needed for my area. Sending you love and support!
