I am a recovering alcoholic 12 weeks sober. I had a drunken rage with my girl friend and she broke up with me. We were seeing each other quite a bit after the incident and I actually thought a couple of times we were back together but sure enough and for good reason she could not put that drunken night and other drunken nights behind her. Now we don't talk at all, nothing, no texting, no FB, nothing. I'm lost and broken hearted. I'm seeing a therapist and I'm attending 4-6 AA meetings a week. I'm assuming this is what you call detachment love, she has set her boundries with me so she can get on with her life with serenity. What is she thinking about the relationship? Just a hard time in my life and would like to hear from you good people.
Hi Beanie... you might want to take this one to the AA site, as this is an Al-Anon site. Probably more appropriate for your gf to be on here, and you on the other site, at this point in your respective recoveries.
