Just a few things I am loving about alanon today......
People look happy to see me at the meetings (which is new to me!) :)
They like to give hugs and it feels safe to do so.
People are authentic and open about their issues
People like to get together afterwards just to hang out at a restaurant and everyone is invited (new to me again!)
People there (and here) inspire me by them sharing their lives and I can share my life and be real.
I feel accepted, like I belong.
It is not conditional to be there.
I don't have to try and be someone I am not.
Serenity is happening to me. Little by little I am getting better. I keep the focus on me, I take what I like and leave the rest.
Something is happening to me in this program. It it starting to feel spiritual, it is starting to feel like home. I am so grateful to this program.
It is very difficult to have a pity party when I am celebrating all the gratitude I have in my life!
It will aither work out, . . . or, . . . It will work out."
