The last few days have been tough for me. I've been struggling, and know I've slipped in my recovery. This morning I was thinking of RLC and remembered that he used to remind me that the great thing about this program is that we can start over any time we need to. SO, I'm starting over this morning. I'm going to have a good day, hope you all do too.

Hi pineapple, your post comes at an appropriate time for me because I am admittedly not doing too well in my own recovery right now. I have slipping into bad thought patterns for a while and haven't done a great job keeping up with my meetings or readings. I appreciate the reminder that it doesn't have to stay that way and we can choose to get back on at any time, no matter how long/ how far we've slipped.

I hope you find some serenity. It is terribly hard to watch someone turn into a stranger. Al Anon is so great as it teaches us it is ok to love ourselves and give that person what they need.

What do you need? I really use the let go and let God LOTS.  Serenity prayer too. Then I think of things many have said too.

You know I care about you. Go hug those cool dogs, go for a walk.

Would love to come visit you. We could look under rocks and explore all over! ewww go fishing!!!

hugs hon,debilyn

I love the reminder that we can start over any time we need to! What a relief, huh? We don't have to be perfect in our recovery, and that takes suuuuuuuch an enormous load off my shoulders. Someone reminded me the other day that every day is a brand new mercy. In other words, every day is fresh and the slate is clean. So we had a down moment yesterday. We're human. We're allowed to. *hug* Keep hitting that redo button! And know that we're all going through it right along with you! You're not alone!
