Steping forward...fingers crossed.

My husband agreed to enter into outpatient rehab and has finally admitted that he will never be able to drink alcohol responsibly. I am not returning home with our son until he is enrolled and has been to his first session. He wanted me to come home after promising to participate in treatment, but actions speak way louder than words. I know there is a long road ahead to recovery, but it is my hope, I am taking the right steps, and doing the right thing. I expect I will need this board more than ever as well as face to face! Good night!

I am so glad to hear this.  I'm sure you are wise to wait and see him walk the walk rather than just talk the talk.  Stay on the lookout for walking the walk and you can't go wrong.  Wishing you both all the best!

Welcome

Please keep coming here and sharing  I would urge you to find Alanon Face to Face meetings in your community and attend.  The lising can be found in the white pages.

Seeking recovery for yourself is essential.  Living with this disease causes us to develop unhealthy negative attitudes that we need support and constructive tools to overcome

You deserve this so please keep coming back
