Never Regret

It's way past my usual bedtime.  I'm all wired up from staying up to bake!  So here I am on the Net.  I ran across a website about what to never regret and it got me thinking about what I never regret.

I never regret -

- reading to my sons when they were young.  I have such good memories of back then.  I never regret putting all kid records (back then, they were really records) and dancing around the living room with them.

- I never regret living beneath my means (I prefer safety nets!)

-I never regret saying yes when asked if I want to adopt the kitten we have; he has brought so much love and laughter into our home.

-I never regret all the effort it took to finally be a peace with my mother.

-I never regret offering kindness, even when someone doesn't seem to deserve it.

-I never regret taking the time to brush and floss my teeth at least twice a day, even though I don't want to.

-I never regret my past that prompted me to find a better way to live.

Do you have things that you never regret?  Please share.  So many times we only think of things that we do regret.  I'm all for reprogramming my thoughts.

I never regret the time I spend swinging on the swing set with my kids.

I never regret the first cup of coffee in the morning.

I never regret the time I spend cooking a Thanksgiving dinner (my favorite holiday!).

I am learning never to regret my past that prompted me to find a better way to live (thanks for this reminder!).

And, I, too, never regret brushing and flossing. And I never regret that root canal that convinced me I never want another one!

I loved! this post! I hope more people respond because I would welcome seeing other people's lists. Here's mine:

I never regret taking risks to see the world (lived overseas as an army brat when I was young, traveled abroad during college, recently got on the plane again for a conference in Puerto Rico).

I never regret investing in my education (B.A., 2 M.A.s and now a Ph.D.)

I never regret opening my heart to love again.

I never regret choosing to reconnect with my dad (after a messy divorce and a 15 year seperation) even though ultimately it did not work out well.

I never regret learning how to swim, canoing, or going kayaking for the first time this summer or visiting the beach any time of the year.

I never regret spending what I call spacious time--time that is wide open could be lying on a lawn in the sun or reading a good book or journaling.

I never regret the time I've invested in my spiritual journey including hours at the laundry mat where I read religious literature left on the tables, tons of Alanon meetings, and meetings with a spiritual teacher who has been a great source of guidance.

I never regret being open hearted and open minded.

I never regret a second I spend enjoying my kids! I never regret going into the medical field! I never regret finding Al-anon, my sponsor or MIP!
I never regret reading self help Al-anon literature or going to counseling! I never regret taking care of my mind, body or soul!
I never regret teaching my kids lessons I learned the hard way.
I never regret working the steps and facing myself and getting healthier for it!
I never regret my Al-anon meetings or my study group.
I am so grateful for many blessings and with my HP in control life is good!
