I will be without internet for awhile and am worried

I come here and read daily and not always able to post, but it helps keep my mind straight and I meet with my sponsor one night a week. I have 2 weekly meetings, but lately I have worked those days without going.

Now my internet provider went bankrupt it is really sad and no one else is up and running out by me yet, coming this way in maybe months. So I can go to the library occassionally and find places with wifi, I am lucky enough to have a kindle and laptop to take out of the house. I am such a creature of habit that I am worried about the change.

I also see it could be a good thing to peel me away from the internet as much as I sit on it and find something else to do. So any day I will be shutdown between now and the end of the month and will be checking in whenever I can. Sending you all love and support in the mean time.

Oh dear, how unfortunate! I wonder if a phone with internet would work around the problem of needing an internet provider? I know that's more expensive, though.

So glad you have a sponsor, too!

I guess this is like much of life -- when something changes, it can be hard to see the opportunities of the new way until you've explored it for a while.

I certainly would have more hours in the day if it weren't for the internet. smile

But we're here for you when you can get to us!

You gotta do what you have got to do and hopefully it won't have to be a LONG time. I'm glad you have face to face as well as a sponsor. I understand how the boards really do help in between meetings!

You will be missed! I think Let Go and Let God when thing don't "go my way". It is funny how sometimes things like this are exactly what we need, but we wouldn't do it for ourselves. Be well and take gentle, wonderful care of yourself.

geez I know how you feel. I have been off a few times due to finances. It was very weird at first then it was ok. I sure read lots more. It is my tv also.

don't you have a phone line? Do they not offer net service? That is where mine is from.

There are cell phones also that you can get the net on.
