Two weeks!

its amazing how much an attitude change can change life. "The best part of wednesday was the laughing my husband and I did over the total absurdity of the whole situation. Plus we were frozen to our insides together. It was just a really nice moment in the moment of complete chaos." I love this!!!

The last two weeks has been challenging to say the least the next two are going to present with their own challenges that's ok. Frustrating however it is what it is and it is normal for the time of year. Anyway, this week we have lived little house on the prairie lol. Tuesday night I got home and noticed the lights were acting up. Flip bathroom lights on living room lights dim lol. Daughters lights were very dim. Hubby kind of thought ok high winds funky weather. 11 pm I'm doing laundry and I notice no water we are on a well. Flip the switch nothing, that is not good 1/2 done load of hubs work clothes lol. Eldest needs a shower I the am. Ugh!! I wake up hubby, he says just turn the well off and come to bed lol. Ok, seriously nothing is going to be able to be done until morning anyway. Of course I did not sleep I'm thinking electrical fire, the cat, the kids, laundry .. ugh! 530 am my husband comes flying in and says "i really broke the house this time!!". lol I actually laughed lol! Ad I came to out of my semi sleep state. I'm asking what is wrong. Well not only do we have no water, no heat now and there are rooms that have power and rooms that don't! Of course it made for a lot of stress. I am so very grateful my hubby took the day off and took care of dealing with the workmen and landlord. I was able to get the kids ready. The biggest blessing I asked for help!! I called my mil and she let us use her house to finish laundry, take showers and I had the use of a computer. It was so nice!! What a load off of me. By 245 pm everything was at least running. E were supplied with a crazy looking generator hooked to the meter and notice that we had a bad line from the house to the pole. The power company is digging it up now. The best part of wednesday was the laughing my husband and I did over the total absurdity of the whole situation. Plus we were frozen to our insides together. It was just a really nice moment in the moment of complete chaos. I'm so glad the kids were at school. It was a big load of my mind right there. I don't think I would have handled all that so well last year at this time. I also appreciate the support my spouse gave without me having to ask. Hugs p ;)

I have pictures I will have to post it was pretty crazy what they had hooked up to our meter, .. it's like a traveling generator it works for 3 months literally .. lol. Thankfully we didn't have to use it that long. It was such a small section of line. What was really amazing was that they literally could pin point exactly where the break was cut it out and then replace it with good wiring. They let me take pictures of it .. I'm sure they thought I was a loon, .. oh God .. I'm turning into my mother!! That could be bad .. LOL. I just thought it was so neat the way they could just do that!! I only had to be without power and water (being on a well has been a new experience it's literally no power no water.) for 1/2 an hour. That was REALLY nice!! The kids will be so excited to have the internet back, .. I am too .. good grief I was tired of typing on my phone!!

We've gotten some good news as well, I'm a little nervous it's still going to be a tight 2 weeks at least I feel a tad better than I did a couple of days ago.

God is very good and I have really thought a lot about the post "What if" .. that spoke a lot to me.

Hugs P :)
