Re-Finding Myself

Today I went to buy some smoked salmon for myself for new year's eve, bought a friend a nice piece as well, just because I knew she'd enjoy it. Earlier this week I went to Subway for lunch for my family and bought a sandwich for another friend because I knew he would appreciate the gesture (postal worker, Christmas week stress, need I say more?). Tonight I walked down to first friends business and sat and bs'd with her; a friend of hers came in and brought a beer for all, we sat around chatting, telling jokes and laffing about life. I came home thinking, wow, my ex-ah would have hated the way I've been this week. I absolutely love returning to my old self, hate that I let my independence be taken away and I KNOW that if there is ever another person in my life he will have to appreciate and truly understand this side of me.

New Year's resolution - be true to myself, enjoy the little things, find happiness wherever it may be and give it back to those who need it.

Cheers!
