I put the post in capital letters because I really have something to say! I was in an open AA meeting last night after our wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Anyhow I will get to the point. I was reading the AA promises found in the Big Book of AA & found myself choking up! I am definitely in the "spiritual" zone! I was able to really see how the Promises are coming for me again after many years in this program. Everyone should get this! I have so much insight on the program & how it works today. I am not a slacker. I have the potential to be a very wise old-timer--in 25 years I will be 70 & have 50 years in the program of Alanon. Take what you like & leave the rest! I am a child of God w/ flaws that even I don't know about! I am really learning & growing!
Hope you all had a sober & healthy Thanksgiving! I did!
