Today is Veterans Day. A day for us to thank all of the Veterans who gave of service and many who paid the ultimate price giving their life for their country and our freedom.
My late brother was one of them. He was a Marine, once a Marine always a Marine. The few the proud the Marines. His motto: Semper Fi...."Always Faithful". He later went Airborne with the 82nd Airborne Division and became a member of the Elite Special Forces. He loved and served his country.
A week before he passed with cancer two years ago he told me he hadn't accomplished much in life. My answer back to him was.....Ray if they put all the men who had ever served in three different branches of the military in one room, it would be a small room, and you would be in the room. He smiled.
Today I honor him and all those who came before him. God Bless.

Stepping onto a brand-new path is difficult, but not more difficult than remaining in a situation, which is not nurturing to the whole woman.- Maya Angelo
Thank you for sharing your memory of your brother. What an accomplishment and contribution he made to our country. I am so grateful for those that have served and are currently serving in the military. I am so grateful for the freedoms we have in our country.
