Stay out of Crazy Town

I was reading through one of the posts here tonight,, and read a line posted by rehprof....Stay out of crazy town....It struck me as funny and kept running through my head....Makes perfect sense....  I've been to crazy town more times than I care to remember, and I wish I could have back all the tears and wasted moments I have given to addicts.....My life is still a roller coaster, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel.  I may be stuck for now, but not forever.  I know that if things get super bad, I have a plan in place...and that isn't my first choice of how I want to live right now, but I can accept that for a few months if need be....I do just fine when I focus on myself and my child.....what is really important in life anyway?  I can get mad if my husband doesn't do his job as a parent, but that doesn't change anything.  All that does is take time away from my child that I am focusing on my husband....aka...crazy town...I appreciate all the kind words here.  They are immensely helpful....Such a great place to vent and work through the nonsense.

I loved the saying as well.  It cracks me up.  I've been there many, many times.  A picture of a train pops into my head when I think of it.  It's good to know we can hop off if we want to.  I love it.

I loved the analogy of crazy town too...it was originalloy posted by someone  a couple of weeks ago.

It is amazing how much support we can get from one another here.

Kim, you've got it.  I have heard the saying for a few years, a.k.a crazy train.  I think the most important thing about the words is that it gives a sense of humor, a break from the cycle of thought where we all can laugh and say, "I get it".  Then I have a chance to do something different.  That for me is how the train stops at the next station where I can choose to get off or keep riding.

Yup, .. I say I'm hopping on the crazy train to head out to looneyville and that just isn't working for me. :) It brings me back to knowing I have a choice to get on the train or to sit and let it pass me by. I'm getting better at letting me pass me by and not feeling the constant need to jump on it.

Hugs P :)
