good things

I wanted to post about good things

I have been feeling pretty low the last few weeks, I am still feeling pretty flat but I am trying to crawl out of it.

There has been lots of bad thoughts in my head. I don't know why.... so I thought I would do a 'gratitude' type list.

The things that are good right now are;

I have had my little dogs with me for the past few weeks (I share custody with my ex husband)

I have a husband who brought me flowers, wine and chocolate in the past week

I have two cats at home which I love having

I am going to Tai Chi and my husband is coming with me

I have a good job and make enough money to be comfortable

I have a good nice car, I have a house that is livable

I am no longer living with an abusive partner who hits me and belittles me or screws around on me.

My partner is not smoking pot and being stoned in my presence every day (he is smoking, but not being stoned when with me at this stage, on a daily basis)

I have both my parents alive and I know they both love me

My husband works and comes home to me every night (unless fishing)

I am attending to my mental health by finding a psychologist I can trust and I hope this helps more.

That is all I can think of for now. At times I think... if pot were removed from the equation of my life.. it would be pretty darned perfect. I know this isn't true.. but it feels like that sometimes.

Linda, that's a great list. I'm glad you are able to look at all the positive things in your life. I was also feeling pretty down for a few weeks but things are looking up. Some of the great things in my life right now-
The rainy season is over, the sun is shining again
I have many friends, including a new friend I've recently made
I have a home to live in. (Several people I know have had to move out of their homes because of damage from the recent storms)
I live in a beautiful place full of the wonders of nature
I have enough to eat, never go hungry
My health is relatively good - A few small problems, nothing major
I have all my critters that bring me joy, laughter and comfort, especially my dogs
I have this place and all the wonderful people here to come to for knowledge, support, and love

I think it is so important to stay positive especially when living with an active. Great list and great post!

Tommye taught me about a "powerless list" which is a list of things we are powerless over. That helped me tremendously and so do the gratitude lists :) Good one!
