Addict Daughter with 3 young children My anxiety level is soo high

My daughter has 3 small children living with her.  She is an active addict and is barely functioning.  She has had no electric for about 10 days..and her and her children have been staying elsewhere unknown.  DFS and a police officer has been looking for her and the children.  She has sent an occasional text but will not reply to mine.  The officer said she had left a cat in the home.  I dont know if they are going to open the home and rescue the cat.  I think dfs or the officer may have to intervene...This brings me so much anxiety...the unknown and i have no control.  I know the HP has a plan of his own but I have anxiety and very fearful what the future may bring to my daughter and the children.  I tried to take care of this weekend but the officer kept calling which would bring everything back.  I would love some peaceful sleep.  I have heard, it's these changes that might have some positive impact on the addict...I can pray.

I'm so sorry this is happening.  i hope you can also find some face-to-face Al-Anon meetings in your town.  No one should have to go through this alone.

I'm glad your daughter and her children are on the radar of the authorities -- although it's a shame that they should have to be.  But the problem is too big for any one person (you) to handle themselves.

I hope you will also call Animal Control about the poor cat.  They will be used to this situation and know what to do.  It will be their priority, where the other agencies understandably have higher priorities and may not get to it in time.

I hope you will keep coming back and keep taking good care of yourself.

i think your daughter must be very- very ill at the moment- she needs to address her issues thats for sure. your HP will take care of this- ask for your HP's help and he will sort things- i think your main worry is with the children isnt it? this cant go on for them- i hope they get some intervention on this matter. HP will sort this out i promise you- sometimes even painful things happen but they have to happen in order for things to get better.

Deep breaths and lots of praying. At times like this "Let Go and Let God" may be all that helps me. Best wishes for you and your family.

Thanks for being there for me. Two week later and still no resolve. The DFS worker still has not gone to the school to see if the kids are even attending. The police seems to be determined. I only can wait and let HP take over. Thanks for your kind words. It's hard to wait alone.
