Hello all - I was asked to "introduce" myself to the forum as it shows that I'm a "newbie" :). I actually had been on here before and then in haste removed myself and then came back, so, yes I'm new but not that new. Same username.
I'm an adult child of an alcoholic (my mom). I'm on my second marriage but have been separated for over 14 months - I initiated the separation. My spouse and I have very different views on life and both of us suffer from abandonment issues amongst other things. Life over the past 3 years just got so difficult for me. It was constant unhappiness, battling, etc unless it was about our daughter. She is the one thing that we both agree on.
I look forward to participating and working on recovery. I have only been involved in face to face alanon for 3 months or so.
Welcome! I'm also relatively new to Alanon having attended my first meeting only 2 months ago. It's a gradual process, but I'm starting to feel the results of the program. This is a great board and you'll find lots of wisdom and esh here. Keep coming back, nyc
Hi and welcome back :) I too came and left the board and then came back... been here since the end of April now. Glad you are here and looking forward to more posts :) HUGS
