real life

In real life bombs do go off...

I was surprised to learn that there are aprox. 14 times per month in my area, that the fire dept. / bomb squad goes on real calls that involve actual bombs designed to hurt and kill people. There are living among us real "gangs" and all kinds of scary groups.

On the news it seems they alway find it was actually a dummy bomb or it doesn't explode ...or it was some misguided soul really only wanting attention.

I was surpirsed to find that most of the real threats and dangers are not known about for a reason. Purposely withheld from the public to not cause panic.

Reality is not what we see all the time.

This made me think about how in the movies the addict or estranged lover always "sees the light" and makes some grand jesture to show his long suffering loved one the depths of his love and commitment.... in the end love overcomes all odds.

When in real life they are so very addicted to living a life that will support their decsion to drink that they will do anything to maintain it.

And I was so addicted to that "love overcomes all odds" love story (sick idea to begin with) that I actually picked someone who had plenty of "odds" to overcome -and in reality then I just became really sick.

Think I'll allow my higher power to write my story now....as best I can, and if it still doesn't have a "happy ending" or if some of the chapters still don't make perfect sense to me, at least I did the best I could with the information I had at at the time.

Thank you! I needed to hear that. Today, I'll turn my will, my life, and my story over to the care of my HP.
